Curious Man Says Arrivederci to Italy

Day 26, A Day of Surprises

We'll surprise you today with a brief traverse into Switzerland, country number eight (it's beginning to sound like a Con-Tiki tour isn't it?), but you’ll hardly notice it because Curious Man and Nice Wife will be arguing about whether to detour to a massive outlet mall. (sorry shoppers, Nice Wife won-there will be no crazy shopping tours on this trip)

Back into Italy for a final hurrah and some surprises. First off, surprise number 1:

 you’ll be driving past Italy’s rice paddy region! 

Surprise number 2:

You’ll be stopping off for some bread and wine and tourist info in the church at Barbaresco, San Donato, where, regardless of your religious inclinations, you can sample the delicious wines of this region, mop up the glass with some pane and book an inn for the night.

Day 27

The Italian Riviera

Surprise number 3:

The sun will come out today, just in time for your little holiday in Alassio, on the Italian Riviera, staying at the salubrious Hotel Savoia.

 You can soak up the sun and dip your toes into the Ligurian Sea.

Surprise number 4:

Curious Man will escape the Italian Riviera without mishap!!!!
