Curious Man Braves the Elements

Part 16
Curious Man
Slides Down
To The Source
and
Braves the Elements

Curious Man holds tight to his drink at Gordes

Day 39
Back to Fontaine de Vaucluse..
As well as offering thrilling kayak trips, Fontaine de Vaucluse is also the source of the river Sourge.

So after stringently avoiding tacky souvenir shops and dodging plodding tourists you'll come to this..

This source produces water at an amazing 200 cubic metres per second, making it one of the most powerful resurgent springs in the world!

But to see the actual source and escape the madding crowd, the Curious Man will lead you on an epic journey through walls of tourists, up and down slippery gravel slopes,

Curious Man about to sacrifice some skin to the Source
and finish off in an uncontrollable and painful slide to the calm blue waters of the river's source (don't worry, it was just a flesh wound).

No one here except for this guy..

And if you're homesick for the antipodes, we'll take you here..

to the village of Roussillion

Then it'll be time for some "edgy" photography at Gordes,

where the wind is so strong it'll whoosh your drink across the table
It's an extra euro for the privilege of sitting here

and blow your head off.
