Curious Man Goes House-Hunting!

Part 21

Curious Man
Goes
House Hunting!

Days 47-50 cont'd

The Massif Centrale area is so lovely that, like the Curious Man, you might consider making this your permanent abode.
In that case, we have some options for you.

First up, the Ancient Caves of Jonah-Trogladytic properties with period character galore, rugged, yet cosy, cool in summer and warm in winter.

There's nothing "jerry built" about these places.
First dug by the Celts in 400BC and continually developed up until the 13th century, these dwellings have been inhabited for hundreds of years by people from all social classes. Farmers, monks, knights, lords and ladies, artisans have all called Jonas home.

Nice Wife inspects her potential new home

Sure, they need a bit of work, but the painting's been done

and the plumbing's in..

and you'll love the views!

But if that's not to your liking, how about a nice chateau?

Fully furnished,

complete with your own knight

Nice Wife wonders how her holiday might have turned out if she'd travelled around with this guy instead of the Curious Man

and art-works,
Strange, Curious Man managed to stay awake for this Art Gallery

this one's got to appeal!

But if a chateau is beyond your budget, here's a "renovator's delight" with a view of the chateau..

We'll give you some thinking time at the lake

and up the Puy de Sancy, highest mountain/extinct volcano  in the Auvergne

Curious Man meditates on his real estate options

while Nice Wife plays in the snow

And if all gets too hard to decide...

Go to Le Mont-Dore farmer's market and stock up on nougat...

Next time..
Curious Man Heads to Paris!
